so, what do I do?
I CREATE!
I’ve always been a little hesitant to call myself an artist, but if there’s one word that fits, it’s probably that. I work across a wide range of mediums and styles, from personal commissions to professional projects. Whether it’s a simple sketch, a detailed illustration, 3D work, or storytelling, I love the challenge of bringing something to life from nothing and watching it evolve.

Digital Illustration
Illustration is where I feel most at home. I have years of experience creating artwork in a range of sizes and formats, from small icons to full compositions, both for private clients and professional projects. My favorite subjects are imaginative creatures and animals, but I also have a soft spot for pet portraits and character-focused illustrations.
My style leans toward semi-realism, though I’ve dabbled in a variety of styles over the years, including comic art, cel-shading, and more realistic renderings.
Creature Design
& Concept Art
Every great project starts with a concept, and concepting is one of my favorite parts of the process. I’ve worked with indie teams, startups, and solo creators to design creatures, environments, and even early machine concepts, though not as often. My strength lies in creature design, where I combine artistic intuition with a solid foundation in biology and anatomy.
Before pursuing art full-time, I considered a career in veterinary science or wildlife rehabilitation. That background heavily influences my creature work, I love crafting believable, functional designs based on real-world ecosystems, behavior, and anatomy. Whether it’s imagining how a creature would move, survive, or even interact with its environment, I always aim to create something that feels alive
I especially enjoy “biological engineering”, breaking down the needs of a fictional world, climate, or story and building a unique creature that fits it naturally. It’s part science, part storytelling, and always an exciting challenge.
3D Art
Over the past two years, I’ve dedicated a lot of time to learning 3D, motivated by the desire to take my concepts off the page and into a whole new dimension. Most of my 3D work is optimized with real-time applications in mind, especially for game assets, rigging, and animation. I create both organic and hard-surface models, depending on the needs of the project.
Both main assets and characters, as well as background clutter.
As I got more comfortable with modeling, I decided to push further, learning how to create both hand-painted and procedural textures, properly retopologize meshes, and handle basic rigging. Naturally, that opened the door to animation, which I’ve also started exploring.
It’s been a fun and challenging expansion of my creative toolkit.
But I also do…
Writing
Writing is something I carry a deep, burning passion for. While I always knew I loved creating through art, writing opened up a whole new dimension of expression.
The Compendium originally started as a small test project, a way to design concepts for the creatures I’d eventually illustrate. But the deeper I went, the more the world came alive. What began as a side experiment quickly grew into a fully realized universe, and the ideas wouldn’t stop coming. I had to write them down.
Worldbuilding
Through The Compendium, I discovered just how much I love worldbuilding, crafting entire cultures, landscapes, and ecosystems from the ground up. I enjoy exploring how environments influence the creatures that live there, what kind of traditions evolve in different climates, and how societies develop their own subtle nuances and complexities. I think about things like temperature, topography, mythology, and even day-to-day survival, all woven together to create something that feels real and lived-in.
